Meet Maureen Koehler, a resilient individual whose journey from the Country Meadows Nursing & Rehab Center to our Bethlehem senior living campus is nothing short of inspiring.

Maureen’s story began with a setback—a back fracture from a fall at home. This incident left her needing substantial assistance for even the most basic tasks. Simple movements like standing up, walking or shifting from one place to another posed significant challenges. Weakness in her legs compounded these difficulties, making tasks like maneuvering a wheelchair exhausting. Even short bursts of activity left her fatigued.

But Maureen’s spirit refused to be dampened. With determination as her fuel, she embarked on her rehabilitation journey at our Skilled Nursing Center. Here, she tackled each obstacle with unwavering resolve. With the support of dedicated professionals, Maureen made remarkable progress. Step by step, she regained strength, mobility and independence.
As her time at the Skilled Nursing Center drew to a close, Maureen’s determination only intensified. She transitioned seamlessly to the Bethlehem Campus, continuing her rehabilitation journey with unwavering focus. Her goals remained clear: to walk without supervision and ultimately return home.

Now, Maureen stands tall as a testament to the power of perseverance. With each determined step, she edges closer to her aspirations. Today, she walks independently with her trusty walker by her side—a tangible testament to her hard work and dedication.
