Country Meadows’ oldest resident Margaret Dilullo turns 110

When asked what advice she has to share with the residents and co-workers at her home at Country Meadows Retirement Communities Wyomissing campus, Margaret raised her can of Yuengling lager and beamed the brightest smile.

For years Margaret has cited God, good genes and Yuengling as her secret to longevity. And now, on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 she celebrated her 110th birthday. The celebrations kicked off when Yuengling’s Chief Administrative Officer Wendy Yuengling hand-delivered a gift to the birthday girl. The two enjoyed a cold one together and shared a cheers.

Margaret and the Yuengling company have a special relationship, and the company has helped celebrate her birthday for many years. They consider Margaret one of their biggest fans. Which is true because she tries to enjoy one every day.

Later, her neighbors and friends, Country Meadows co-workers and her daughter Jackie Kendell joined together in the main lobby for a party. Margaret, dressed in pink — her favorite color — wearing her birthday crown and sash was celebrated. Everyone enjoyed cake and music, while Margaret enjoyed her favorite beverage. The room was decorated with Margaret’s favorite colors, including 110 long-stem roses which were sent by Country Meadow’s CEO Meredith Mills and her family. The joy was infectious as the group sang Happy Birthday to Country Meadows’ oldest resident in all of the nine campus communities.

Margaret DilulloCountry Meadows is also big fan of Margaret. One fellow resident and friend of Margaret’s described her as a “sparkling personality.” While one of the nurses who frequently assists Margaret explained how she is always so complimentary of others and making the nurses feel special.

We are honored to be part of Margaret’s story and her family and celebrate her in this way — this is what families do! Cheers to you, Margaret!”
